The HCG Diet Protocol

Below is a copy of what I read in Dr. Simeon’s

Below is a copy of what I read in Pounds and Inches regarding what to eat while using HCG:

THE DIET

Breakfast:Tea or coffee in any quantity without sugar. Only one tablespoonful of milk allowed in 24 hours. Saccharin or Stevia may be used.
Lunch:1. 100 grams of veal, beef, chicken breast, fresh white fish, lobster, crab, or shrimp. All visible fat must be carefully removed before cooking, and the meat must be weighed raw. It must be boiled or grilled without additional fat. Salmon, eel, tuna, herring, dried or pickled fish are not allowed. The chicken breast must be removed from the bird.2. One type of vegetable only to be chosen from the following: spinach, chard, chicory, beet-greens, green salad, tomatoes, celery, fennel, onions, red radishes, cucumbers, asparagus, cabbage.3. One breadstick (grissino) or one Melba toast.4. An apple or a handful of strawberries or one-half grapefruit.
Dinner :The same four choices as lunch.

Dr. Simeons adds:

The juice of one lemon daily is allowed for all purposes. Salt, pepper, vinegar, mustard powder, garlic, sweet basil, parsley, thyme, marjoram, etc., may be used for seasoning, but no oil, butter or dressing. Tea, coffee, plain water, or mineral water are the only drinks allowed, but they may be taken in any quantity and at all times. In fact, the patient should drink about 2 liters of these fluids per day. Many patients are afraid to drink so much because they fear that this may make them retain more water. This is a wrong notion as the body is more inclined to store water when the intake falls below its normal requirements.

The above is all taken into account after a fat loading phase (phase 1 or p1) of two days. Dr. Simeons suggests eating as much fat-laden food as possible in order to prime the release of fat. It stands to reason, in my opinion, that the fat you place in your body from day-to-day is the fat that will be burned, first. With a low-fat diet, the body obviously start to release old and un-needed fat.  On the Super Patch, I lost fat where I had last gained it. On the other hand, fasting without HCG or the Super Patch caused me to lose mostly collagen, water, and fat around my bones (knuckles, ankles and wrists) and from my chest. My conclusion based on my own experience was that it is NOT that low calorie diet that caused the proper fat loss. Only with the Super Patch and HCG protocol did I lose fat from truly fatty places of my body. Starving caused me to appear gaunt, frail and sickly. With the Super Patch, I personally look quite healthy!

How I feel: the HCG diet & Super Patch

My Daughter and I started the Super Patch together:

How I felt on the HCG diet & Super Patch

I never got a headache as some report. My daughter didn’t get a headache until it was the 4th day of her first patch. She replaced the patch, drank water and rested. The headache subsided.

I noticed she also stopped making trips to the refrigerator to look inside. Obviously, she had become hungry as the patch was wearing off. Because the patch isn’t cumbersome like drops, it is easy to stick it and forget it.

A month’s supply is 12 patches. Technically, that covers 36 days. But, I wore two patches to jump-start into phase 2 – without the loading phase (phase 1). Reloading or double patching was not necessary afterward. Though if I were to begin feeling hungry or getting a hunger-headache that won’t subside, I would choose to put on a second patch. Usually, this only happens at the beginning of the protocol. It hasn’t happened to me!

The Nova Patch ingredients stay in my system for 12 hours after I remove the patch. For the first two weeks, I itched in areas near my glands. The Super Patch and the water seemed to be flushing out toxins!

“Hot Sauna Showers” helped me. I felt a little sick a couple of times. I added some sugar free electrolyte powder (generic brand)  to my water and felt much better. I lost almost 3 lbs per day during the first 3 days of this toxin-flush! It was worth it!

Each day, seeing the scale read a lower number is encouraging and THAT makes me feel great! Even if it is only half a pound, I am excited!

My daughter prefers to weigh weekly as she likes seeing big losses. She got to say, “I lost 13 pounds this week!” as she emerged from the room.

I know. Wow! That’s how she felt, too.

Both of us are still going. Now, I have other family members using the patch, but I’m most impressed with my “foodie” daughter who claimed not to have any will power whatsoever.

SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS

HOW I USE THE SUPER PATCH

After a hot morning shower, when my hands and body are dry, I:

  • Cut open the Super Patch packet
  • Take out 1 sheet of 6 patches
  • Carefully pinch the corner of 1 patch
  • Lift the thin patch off the sheet
  • Place the super patch on a fatty part of my belly below my ribs but away from my waist or beltline. (Initially, I placed 2 patches for a NO-Loading jump-start)
  • Seal both sheets of remaining patches inside of a sandwich bag, store in a cool area
  • Eat a low-fat, no sugar and no flour diet of 500 calories per day (My range is 400-600)
  • Drink lots of water
  • Change the patch every 3 days until desired weight is reached.
Peel the Patch

I Stick It and Forget It!

Place on belly

Note about the Nova Patches: These are thin non-latex non-plastic breathable patches very similar to a layer of medical gauze. They are very adhesive and not repositionable. Tweezers have helped me to pull the patch off the paper without taking the paper with it!

There is no expiration date because they do not spoil or lose their potency if stored correctly. Store away from heat, direct sunlight, microwaves and computers.

Using the Patch

Below are a few tips I have appreciated about Nova Patches:

  • Treat the patch gently. Yes you can shower and swim with it on but pat dry, firmly. Remember it’s not a sticking plaster. If a client is in chlorinated water every day they would need to have a water proof plaster/dressing over it to keep it on and protect from chemicals. (I take hot bubble soaks and simply cover the patch with a large bandage)
  • The patch ingredients generally last 3-4 days (at peak strength) after peeling off the backing paper and sticking to the skin. By day 4 the dose will be getting very low. The HCG patch is changed twice a week, it would be ok to take the patch off on 3rd night and not wear overnight (to give the skin a break if required, this is not essential) and just put a new one on the next morning, the HCG would still be in the blood stream for twelve hours (I place a new patch on the opposite side for three days and leave the former one on, too. Thus, every 4th day, I am wearing two patches, just in case – because I can’t really overdose.)
  • Redness on the skin beside the patch. This isn’t a side effect this happens if the person is using a nutrient patch and their body does not need that nutrient. (There are nutrients in the Super Patch and I have not experienced redness. I still take extra magnesium and other vitamins that are also contained in the SuperPatch  and still haven’t gotten too much. I doubt this is likely to happen anytime soon as I have long been nutrient deficient. If it did happen, I would switch to an hcg-only patch instead of the Super Patch)
  • Itchy hive-like spots can also be part of the detox and detox is always temporary. (I did itch, but I never got hives. I continued to take in water and to sweat and I feel that helped.)
  • We suggest clients place the patch on the upper abdomen under the breasts/bra. But if you don’t want to continue with that area, then patches really can be placed anywhere from then on – the ingredients will have been established within the blood flow/cells. (I place in an area where my clothing will not rub it off and where it is gently protected by my blouse. I do not place the patch on the same side each time. It varies).
